Thailand has been vigorously advancing the agricultural circular economy and green energy initiatives in recent years, with livestock and agricultural biogas digesters emerging as pivotal renewable energy infrastructure across rural regions. Completed by a professional localengineering firm in Thailand, this large-scale project focused on the anti-seepage lining construction of farm biogas digesters.
Traditional biogas digester lining construction is plagued by common drawbacks, including inconsistent weld quality, low construction efficiency, frequent joint air leakage and poor adaptability to curved and sloped tank surfaces. Substandard welding work often results in biogas leakage, reduced gas output and shortened service life of biogas facilities. To tackle these pain points and meet Thailand’s stringent anti-seepage construction standards, the contractor adopted our SWT-NSGM1 automatic geomembrane welding machine as the core welding equipment for the entire biogas digester lining project.

SWT-NSGM1 geomembrane welding machine delivered outstanding professional performance tailored for biogas anti-seepage projects, enabling standardized, stable and efficient on-site construction:
Prior to construction, the on-site team completed targeted equipment commissioning and parameter calibration for the 1.5mm HDPE geomembrane exclusively used for biogas digesters.
During formal construction, the equipment achieved stable automatic crawling welding on flat surfaces, slopes and curved edges of the biogas digester. Unlike ordinary welding machines that suffer from unstable movement and track deviation, the SWT-NSGM1 adopts a high-precision roller traction structure, ensuring constant traveling speed and precise welding tracks. It forms standard double-track hot-melt welds for geomembrane lap joints consistently.
Additionally, the machine features a lightweight, portable design and user-friendly control panel. Local Thai workers were able to proficiently operate the equipment after simple training, realizing high-efficiency continuous welding for large-area lining. For complex corners and special-shaped structural parts of the digester, the machine can coordinate with auxiliary fine welding work to achieve full-coverage, dead-angle-free seamless lining welding.

Upon completion of all lining welding work, the project team conducted comprehensive quality inspection on all weld seams via vacuum airtightness tests and pressure resistance tests. All welds passed the tests with zero leakage, with weld strength and flatness fully compliant with international ASTM standards. After official operation, the biogas digester maintained stable airtight performance, achieving remarkable improvement in biogas production efficiency with no leakage or structural damage issues.
The local Thai engineering company gave highly positive feedback on the SWT-NSGM1 geomembrane welding machine. The customer stated that the equipment thoroughly solved the long-standing pain points of unstable weld quality and low construction efficiency in biogas digester projects. Its stable performance, easy operation and superior welding results significantly upgraded the project’s overall construction quality, delivered substantial economic benefits for the farm biogas program, and laid a solid foundation for their subsequent batch of biogas and environmental anti-seepage projects.
