The CX500L is a dual-purpose welder: single-side feeding for unilateral welding (typically used for biogas tank capping and landfill covers), plus both-side feeding for overlap lap welding. With 1800W output and only 9.5kg weight, it is versatile and easy to handle on site.

Application Case – CX500L Geomembrane Welder for Southeast Asian Aquaculture

A shrimp and tilapia farm in southern Thailand expanded its ponds to scale up production. Local soil was sandy and porous, and seasonal rainfall fluctuation caused serious seepage; without a reliable liner, the farm wasted water, raised energy costs for pumping, and risked leaking nutrient-rich water into nearby soil.

The operator chose the CANEX CX500L (1800W, 9.5kg) to weld HDPE geomembrane liners across multiple ponds. Its dual-purpose design supported both single-side feeding for liner edges and both-side overlap lap welding, fitting different pond layouts. The copper hot wedge produced strong double seams with a leak-test cavity, allowing simple on-site air pressure checks before filling water. The adjustable eccentric wheel matched pressure to the film thickness, while the spring-loaded upper wheel kept steady feeding over long pond edges.

After installation, the ponds held stable water levels through both wet and dry seasons.
